The second telecaster finished this week. Again I have tried to accentuate the wood on this guitar both in looks but also in tone through the type of pick ups installed. This is a poplar body with spalted beech top. Grade AAA flame maple neck with Ebony fret board. Double black pearl bindings and features a SUPER VEE MAVERICK floating tremolo and a mac vee mag lock to maintain tuning during bends and use of the tremolo. The pick ups are custom wound by Jaime at the Creamery Manchester, neck and middle pick ups are ‘scooped mids’ and the bridge pick up is a 64 wound tele bridge. These give the guitar a woody and hollow tone similar to fenders ‘big dipper’ custom shop pickups. The tuners are Sperzel origonal tuners, schaller stap locks and rosewood controlknobs. Pick up configuration is as a stratocaster. It has a amazing feel and sound.
