Been a while since I posted here but been back in Sweden for several weeks and then Switzerland and Germany so had some guitar down time. Now back in the workshop and just about finished the first neck for my new guitar model to be release in 2020. Still have some final finishes to do like the trust rod cover but thought I would let you take a peak.
Tuners added and polished
The neck is American Walnut which has a normal C shape but flattened on the back for more thumb contact and two way trust rod with access at the head stock for easy adjustment. The head stock is my own design and smaller than normal giving better balance to the guitar. It also has Oak burr veneer front and back and fitted with Schaller M6 135 locking tuners in a 4+2 configuration, very different from the mainstream guitar makers. The neck and head stock is finished with a polyurethane lacquer and polished. The fret board is Bolivian Pau Ferro with 12 ” radius, Green abalone dots which will match the final body colour and medium jumbo frets of stainless steel. Now on to designing and routing the body 🙂
