Its snowing and freezing in Scotland some Jazz guitar to warm up to ?

Well the weather the past week has been pretty poor here in the East Neuk of Fife. Today it got worse. It’s been raining the past 2 weeks with extensive flooding everywhere in Fife and the river Eden burst its banks. Today it decided to snow or maybe it was hailstones they make a noise right ! Needless to say its cold in the guitar-shed even with the gas stove on so nothing is going on there for now.

Also the guitars are painted and resting, well curing actually. This is the problem with Nitrocellulose paint, it takes ages to cure, some say years but hey that is not viable right. I mean when would you be able to sand back the finish and prep for lacquering !! nope do not believe that, but certainly 3-4 weeks before I will work on them. So in the meantime I will continue with the Jazz guitar classes I signed up for with Jens Larsen. If your interested in Jazz you should check him out, he has a really great You tube channel

So I started with learning a Jazz classic ‘The A Train’ just the melody line, but then you have t solo over the chord progression. That is when it starts to get difficult especially if your used to Blues and Country guitar.

Anyway, there is a link in the social icon buttons above to my You tube channel where there are some more jazz tunes and some other songs. I will be recording more videos in the coming weeks as I now have some time over to do that.
